Hi I'm Jo
Alongside my senior HR and Policy career, I've managed, coached, mentored and supported people through apprenticeships, disability development and Life Chances programmes.
I've also led successful neurodiverse teams and worked with disability champions and networks.
These experiences have reinforced something I've seen throughout my career:
People can achieve remarkable things when they are understood, valued and given the opportunity to use their strengths.
That's what I want to bring into my coaching practice.

What you can expect from me
I know how difficult it can be to quieten the negative self-talk that tells you you're not good enough, you should be doing more, or that everyone else seems to find things easier.
I've experienced my own struggles with perfectionism and imposter feelings, and I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help when you're already feeling uncertain about yourself.
That's why I want my coaching space to feel different.
A place where you don't have to perform.
Where you can talk openly about your experiences without judgement or shame.
I'll treat you with respect and take your experiences seriously.
I'll help you recognise your strengths as well as explore the things you're finding difficult.
And I'll never assume that I know what's best for you simply because I'm the coach.
You remain the expert in your own life.
My values are grounded in inclusion, autonomy, respect, psychological safety, individuality, growth, compassion and integrity.
That means your goals are yours. Your choices are yours.

For me, successful coaching isn't about keeping you as a client forever.
It's about helping you develop the understanding, confidence and self-trust you need to continue making choices for yourself.
I'll know I've done my job when you recognise that you have what you need to move forward without me.
That matters to me because your life belongs to you.
My role is to help you see that more clearly through:
Professional experience
Practical understanding
Curiosity
Compassion
I want you to be able to look at your past experiences, learn from them and still believe that your future can be different.
Because your past doesn't have to define what's possible next.
Outside of coaching, I live in Sheffield with my husband, Mark. We’ve been married for 28 years and have two adult children, and two dogs who keep us on our toes.
I’m also a carer, and an advocate for neurodiverse family and friends.
These experiences have given me a personal as well as professional understanding of the importance of listening, understanding, advocacy and seeing the person beyond the label.
For me, supporting people to be understood, valued and able to make choices that work for them isn't just part of my work.
It matters to me personally.

Jo and Darcy.
